We all want democracy, equality etc. but with such widespread corruption throughout the country and attrocities to females being common, the book suggests that the problems lies deeper than just warlords I found the book lacked solutions, which may need a complex level of compromise - particularly with regards to foreign involvement. But a fantastic insight into the problems of Afghanistan and a moving story.
